Northern University Bangladesh has been providing generous financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students and also offering merit scholarship based on their semester results.
In order to maintain fairness in overall financial assistance/waiver among the students, the managok ement have been fixed some certain terms and conditions mentioned below.
Tuition fee waiver will be available depending on the results of SSC/HSC/equivalent examinations as follows:
(A.)
- 100% waiver on tuition fees for golden GPA.
- 50% waiver on tuition fees for GPA 4.8 to 5.0.
- 10% waiver on tuition fees for GPA 3.5 (both SSC/equiv & HSC/equiv exam)
- 5% waiver on tuition fees for GPA 3.5 in SSC/equiv and HSC/equivalent.
- Besides this, 07 (seven) “IBAT Trust Scholarship” in each semester.
Note : Above mentioned financial assistance will be available depending on some conditions as follows :
i. student must earn a minimum required GPA in a particular semester;
ii. waiver will be adjusted in the following semester.
iii. the required minimum GPA for different programs is as follows:

(B.) Siblings would get the 25% waiver on tuition fees for each student proving their relation, an individual certificate from concerned Ward Commissioner and academic transcript of SSC examination should be submitted along with the application.
(C.) A cash prize of Tk. 3,000/-, 2,000/- & 1,000/- for 1st, 2nd & 3rd position respectively as merit scholarship are available based on the semester final results, which also known as merit scholarship.
(D.) Generous financial assistance is also available for poor and meritorious students.
(E.) These rules shall come into force from Summer Semester 2008 for all students.
